The Balboa BP7 is a popular retrofit option for many spa owners. Any spa with a 15″ flow-through style heater can generally use this complete Retro-Fit Kit.G6405 Balboa® Kit BP7 Bundle Kit w/TP500 4.0 kW (1-2 Pumps) and G6406 Balboa® 4.0 Kw Control Box Bundle Kit with TP600

At Easy Spa Parts, we’re here to take the stress out of connecting your spa, so you can start relaxing sooner rather than later.

When connecting your BP7, we first need to know whether your voltage is 120V or 240V (We strongly advise having an electrician confirm this for you).  Once you have confirmed this information here’s what you need to do.

IMPORTANT: If you are connecting to 240V you will need a 50 Amp dedicated circuit breaker, this is typically split in 30A/20A breakers and MUST have a pigtail. If you are connecting 120V you can connect to a 20 amp or 15 amp outlet, however, you will need a 15 Amp GFCI cord PN 25101

If you are connected to 120V your heater must always be set to go off when your Jet pump goes on, on High Speed. (It is important to have the dipswitches set to the right setting) refer to your Spa Pack Diagram for this.

NOTE: All components on the BP7 are pre-configured to run on 240V, if connecting to 120V please reference the wiring diagram for the correct placement for a 120V connection. Please see the below chart ↓
