While last winter was milder than usual, this year seems to have brought snow and ice to areas that aren’t used to seeing it. When the time is right, please call us with any questions about keeping your spa safe and operating properly. We are as concerned about your spa as you.

Here are 3 Fall Season Hot Tub Care Tips:

1 – With Autumn, we have some of the best hot tubbing nights of the year. Cool, crisp evenings with family and friends are one of the reasons we wanted a spa to begin with. No matter how long you’ve had your spa, remember to take time and share it with others.

2 – If you promised to consider replacing that spa cover before the snow starts falling, we‘ve written a quick list of things to think about titled: Spa Covers and the Art of Aging Gracefully.

Take a quick look; you’ll learn if the time is now or if there a few things to help extend the life of your current cover. And remember Easy Spa Parts provides spa covers made by Sunstar, the same manufacturer currently providing them for new Dimension One Spas. Excellent quality – guaranteed fit.

3 – Fall is also a good time to change the spa water and give the whole unit a good once-over. Check out our Spa Inspection Checklist to ensure it’s in tip-top condition. If you see something that raises a question – call the experts at Easy Spa Parts for simple, understandable answers.

Dimension One Spa Parts – Easy Spa Parts – Hot Tub Stormy Weather Tips

Autumn marks the beginning of unsettled and stormy weather across the nation. Lightning storms can cause sudden surges of power through your electrical system that overpower the gfi and damage the spa’s circuit board and can mean replacing a circuit board worth several hundred dollars. If it’s safe, turn off power to your spa before lightning strikes begin; this can save the spa’s circuitry, and preserve your pocketbook. Once the storm passes, power for your hot tub can be turned back on. Never turn power on and off while you are standing in the rain.

Dimension One Spa Parts – Easy Spa Parts – Hinge Protector

Hinge-ProtectorToday, I want to talk to you about your spa cover, more specifically your hinge protector. Your what, you say?

We are proud to introduce a new feature found only on Easy Spa Parts covers; the Hinge Protector.

As you know, because the hinge is used every time your cover is opened, it tends to be one of the first things to wear out. All spa covers from Easy Spa Parts already include a full length heat seal to prevent heat loss through the hinge.

Over time, an EZ Lifter bar, or just plain wear and tear, can cause the top of the hinge to tear and allow rain water in from the top. We’ve designed a 9″ Hinge Protector to help extend the life of your cover. This strip of vinyl is sewn over the length of the hinge to help protect the fold from ice and snow too.

Dimension One Spa Parts – Easy Spa Parts – Flow

Beginning in 1997, most spas started using a circulation pump to move water through the heater and the ozonating systems. Over time, small amounts of debris can begin to clog the lines. Using a small compressor to blow out these lines can improve water flow, reliability, and the possibility of an annoying “flow error”.

We recommend this simple procedure be done every few of years. It costs you nothing and increases the reliability of your spa’s operation. Remember to keep the compressor setting at about 40 pounds. Higher pressures may cause problems to the internal plumbing. Click here to read more about Flow.

As always, we appreciate your business, and look forward to hearing from you about this, or any other questions you might have.

Dimension One Spa Parts – Easy Spa Parts – Spa Filter Care

Your filter is critical to clear, clean water and efficient spa performance. Luckily, taking care of your filter is easy and has a great payoff. At a recent industry trade show I learned of an inexpensive filter soak; 5 gallons of water and 1 cup of TSP, (available at any hardware or paint store). Soak for 2 hours and rinse thoroughly. It will break down the oils and lotions we bring into the spa, at a fraction of the cost of regular filter cleaners. Be sure to wear rubber gloves when working with this solution.
